Events & Activities

Fall Campout

Families enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, orienteering and games at a nearby park and then learn important camping skills all while having fun. Campfire songs and skits are always a big hit!

Pinewood derby

A tradition that all cub scouts adore! Handcrafted pinewood derby cars race down the track and face off in a design competition as well.

Blue & Gold Banquet

A celebration of scouting for all families to enjoy. Every year there is food and entertainment and our Arrow of Light scouts earn the top Cub Scout rank and cross over to Scouting America troops.

Raingutter regatta

Scouts design and construct sailing vessels and then power them down the water track with their own breath!

Spring Campout

Our scouting year concludes with a fun spring campout at a local park. This event includes our rank-up ceremony where all scouts who have completed their adventures receive their new rank.

Service

Scouts participate in multiple community service projects throughout the year, including a book drive for the Laurel Learning Center, the Scouting for Food drive and Wreaths Across America.

Hikes

Our pack leads monthly hikes for families to enjoy time in the outdoors along the many trails in Fairfax County.

Den adventures

In addition to pack events, each den enjoys outings to local community organizations such as fire stations, helipads, animal shelters, nature centers and more.

Family Fun

At the heart of cub scouting is the family unit. When all family members are enjoying scouting together, everyone has fun!
